Common questions about concrete grinding
Can you grind in an occupied building?
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons grinding gets chosen over blasting. HEPA-managed vacuums capture respirable silica at the machine so adjacent areas keep operating.
Will grinding remove old adhesive?
Yes. Cutback adhesive, carpet glue and failed thin coatings are routine removal work with the right tooling.
Is grinding dusty?
Uncontrolled grinding is. We run HEPA dust extraction on every machine, because respirable silica is both a health hazard and an OSHA-regulated one.
Can you fix trip hazards and high spots?
Yes. Grinding down high points and feathering slab transitions is usually faster and cheaper than levelling the whole floor.
