Why joints need filling
Open control and construction joints let slab edges chip under forklift and pallet-jack wheels, collect debris, and fail cleanliness inspections. A semi-rigid filler supports the joint edge so wheels roll across instead of hammering it, keeps water and bacteria out, and gives washdown floors a surface that can actually be cleaned. In food and beverage plants, filled joints are often a code requirement, not an option.
The right filler for the slab
We match the filler to the environment. Semi-rigid polyurea for interior floors with hard-wheel traffic, flexible sealants for expansion joints that move, and systems rated for freezer, washdown, and chemical exposure where the room calls for it. We saw or clean the joint, remove old failed filler, and install to the correct depth so it lasts.

Why All West Surface Prep
We have worked on industrial and commercial concrete across Colorado since 1990. We fill joints as part of a full floor scope or on their own, and we install to the correct depth and profile so the filler does its job. Because we also grind, coat, and polish, we handle joints in the right sequence with the rest of the floor.

Frequently asked questions
Why fill concrete joints at all?
Filled joints support the slab edge against hard-wheel traffic, keep out water and debris, and meet cleanliness codes. Open joints spall and collect contamination.
What filler do you use?
It depends on the joint. Semi-rigid polyurea for traffic-bearing control joints, flexible sealant for moving expansion joints, and freezer or washdown rated systems where needed.
Can you replace old failed joint filler?
Yes. We remove the old filler, clean or re-saw the joint, and install a new system to the correct depth.
Do you fill joints outside Denver?
Yes. We cover the Front Range and travel regionally for larger jobs.
