What has to happen before the coating goes down?

How does a single-day install actually run?

Crews grind and profile the slab, vacuum, and detail the edges. Cracks and joints get treated. The primer or base coat goes down, then broadcast media where the specification calls for flake or quartz, then the polyaspartic topcoat over it. Each step follows the last inside the same shift, which is why the sequence has to be planned rather than discovered.

Untested moisture. Vapor moving up through a slab lifts a thin film off the concrete. The coating looks fine for months and then releases in sheets. A relative humidity test before mobilization costs a fraction of a recoat.

Inadequate profile. Burnishing from a power trowel leaves a slab closed up, and a coating has nothing to grip. Polyaspartic is less forgiving here than thick-build epoxy because there is less material to hold it in place.

Rushed working time. These products set fast, which is the selling point and the risk. A crew that has not run the system before will find the pot life shorter than expected and leave lap marks, roller stipple, or an uneven topcoat that cannot be corrected once it kicks.
