What makes coating removal slow or fast
Coating removal timelines are set by what is on the slab, so square footage alone will not tell you the duration. A single-coat epoxy over a sound slab comes off quickly. Three stacked systems installed across thirty years, with mastic underneath, is a different job.
Soft materials are the real variable. Mastic and cutback load up conventional diamond segments and smear under shot, which is why PCD tooling exists and why an experienced crew tests a small area before committing a method to the whole floor.
