Commercial tile is the default finish across much of Arizona, so tile and thinset removal is the majority of what we are asked for here. The mortar bed behind the tile is the real scope, not the tile itself.

Heat changes the method
Adhesive behaves differently in Arizona. Cutback and pressure-sensitive adhesive that would come off cleanly in a Colorado winter soften and smear in a hot slab, so tooling, downward pressure and travel speed all change. This is a real technical difference, not a talking point.

Flagstaff sits at altitude with a different climate and a shorter construction season. Projects there are scheduled around that window rather than around ours.
Summer scheduling
Arizona summer affects working conditions and adhesive behaviour more than it affects our ability to be there. Where a floor is heat-sensitive we plan the removal for the cooler part of the day or the cooler part of the year.

Scope remotely first
Photographs of the tile, the edges and any exposed slab, plus drawings and square footage, get us to a method before anyone travels.
Test area on arrival
A test section confirms how the tile and its bed release, and how the adhesive behaves at slab temperature, before the production method is fixed.
Lift the covering
Tile, carpet and fasteners come up in planned sections, phased around the building where it stays in use.
Remove the bed and residue
Thinset, mortar bed, carpet glue and coating film are ground or blasted off until sound concrete is exposed across the area.
Prepare and hand off
The slab is profiled to the level the next system requires, cleaned down and signed off before the crew leaves the state. Profiles follow the ICRI concrete surface profile scale.

Do you have an Arizona office?
No. Commerce City, Colorado is our only location. Arizona projects are served by crews and equipment that travel there on a planned schedule.
Is Arizona too far to be worth it?
For a small single room, usually yes, and we will say so. For a floor plate large enough or a group of sites sequenced together, the mobilization is straightforward and the pricing is honest about it.
Does the heat affect tile and adhesive removal?
Yes. A hot slab softens some adhesives, which changes tooling and travel speed and can change the method entirely. We account for slab temperature rather than assuming Colorado conditions.
Can you remove thinset as well as tile?
Yes, and it is the part that matters. Tile removal without taking the mortar bed back to sound concrete leaves a floor the replacement cannot be installed over reliably.
