Commercial Flooring Demolition in Utah

Flooring demolition in Utah concentrates along the Wasatch Front. Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo and Lehi sit close together, so one trip can cover several buildings. We travel there from Commerce City with our own crews and equipment. Then we remove tile, carpet, glue and failed coatings and prepare the slab. See the full flooring demolition and removal service.

Where flooring demolition work comes from in Utah

Distribution and warehouse growth

The Wasatch Front has absorbed a lot of distribution space. Older warehouse floors still carry sealer and coating. That has to come off before a new system goes down. Open floor plates suit shot blasting.

Office and tech campus fit-out

The Lehi and south Salt Lake County corridor turns over office space regularly. Carpet tile over a full-floor adhesive film is the typical condition. So the residue area is the whole floor, not a few strips.

Healthcare and education

Hospitals, clinics and university buildings refurbish on fixed calendars. They cannot close while we work. Because of that, we phase the job in sections and run HEPA-managed containment throughout.

Retail refits

Retail turnover across the corridor drives tile and thinset removal. These jobs run to a fixed handover date. The slab has to be flat and clean enough for the incoming fit-out on the day we promise it.

HOW WE COVER UTAH

Serving Utah from Commerce City

All West has one location, in Commerce City, Colorado. Utah work is served by crews who travel there. That shapes how we price and sequence it. In practice the Wasatch Front is dense enough that this works well, because a single trip can cover more than one building.

Salt Lake City and the central corridor

Salt Lake City, West Valley City and the surrounding corridor are the centre of our Utah work and the easiest to schedule around.

Ogden, Provo, Orem and Lehi

Ogden, Provo, Orem and Lehi all sit a short drive from the central corridor. So we usually fold them into the same trip rather than treating each as its own mobilization.

Logan and St George

Logan sits to the north and St George to the southwest. Both are longer runs. We plan each as its own project, sized so the trip is worth making.

Multi-site sequencing

Where you have several Utah buildings, tell us up front. Sequencing them into one trip is the single biggest thing that reduces the travel component of the price.

HOW A PROJECT RUNS

How a Utah flooring demolition project runs

01

Scope remotely first

Photographs, drawings and a description of the covering get us most of the way to a method. That happens before anyone travels, so scoping costs stay out of the price.

02

Test area on arrival

The first work on site is a test section. It shows how the covering and adhesive release. Then we set the production rate for the rest of the floor.

03

Removal in planned phases

We work occupied Utah buildings in phased sections around operating hours. Containment goes up before anything comes off the floor.

04

Residue removal

Next we grind or blast off the carpet glue, thinset, mastic and coating film. We keep going until sound concrete shows through consistently across the area.

05

Prepare and hand off

Finally we profile the slab to the level the next system requires, clean it down and sign it off before the crew leaves the state. Profiles follow the ICRI concrete surface profile scale.

Common questions about flooring demolition in Utah

Do you have a Utah location?

No. Commerce City, Colorado is our only location. Utah projects are served by travelling crews and equipment, and we would rather say that plainly than imply a Salt Lake branch.

Can you cover several Utah sites in one trip?

Yes, and it is the best way to use us here. The Wasatch Front is compact. So we can sequence several buildings into a single mobilization.

How much notice do you need?

More notice gives you a better slot and a better price, because the trip can be planned alongside other work rather than run on its own.

Do you work in occupied buildings in Utah?

Yes. We phase the work in sections, run HEPA-managed dust containment and schedule outside opening hours where that helps. Healthcare, education and retail floors stay open while we work.
